You may have heard of an Easter Egg hunt, now find the chickens that laid them! They’re all hiding in the arboretum - simply mark their locations on a map to win a prize! All children must be accompanied by an adult. No booking required – just turn up and enjoy!
Batsford is home to one of the largest private tree collections in the country with something to see throughout the year. Enjoy early colour from the snowdrops, spring-flowering bulbs, spectacular Japanese flowering cherries and stunning Davidia tree in May.
Wander through 56 acres of wild gardens, paths and streams; marvel at stunning views across the Evenlode Valley and find our beautiful oriental-influenced statues tucked into leafy glades.
You’ll find fabulous lunches, afternoon teas and cakes all home-baked and made from locally sourced produce wherever possible. Enjoy your meal in the Garden Terrace Café where you can soak up the sun from the wooden deck before treating yourself to some retail therapy in the Applestore – an Aladdin’s Cave of shabby chic furniture and vintage finds.
