You might want to start planning what to do with the kids to keep them entertained that week…or plan a short break to the Shakespeare’s England area to make the most of your holiday time.
Don’t panic – we have a comprehensive round up of the major half term attractions in the region, that are sure to make keeping the kids occupied a whole lot easier!
Children of all ages love castles – and we are lucky enough to have two in the area...
At Kenilworth Castle you can become an archaeologist for the day, with coin rubbing and facial reconstruction as well as digging for finds in the sand pit.
Enjoy a fun-packed, full day out at Warwick Castle where you can see the year’s first firings of the world’s largest working siege machine…the mighty Trebuchet firing its flaming missiles!
Or if you have budding engineers or Lego fans – take them to the British Motor Museum to help build a life size Mini out of LEGO® bricks and join in with a week of automotive themed brick building challenges!
The Royal Shakespeare Company are putting on a huge variety of events and activities this half term including the chance for kids to create their very own shortened version of Julius Caesar in just one day or learn how to stage fight with help from the experts.
Get close up and personal with a host of mini-beasts this half term at Stratford-Upon-Avon Butterfly Farm. There will be a number of activities for younger visitors including the popular handling sessions.
Or how about something that is bound to get all the family involved? Join in a fun quiz trail walk round historic Stratford or Warwick town centre looking for clues to answer a mix of historical and observational questions.
