Fireworks will light up the skies once more on 6 December as the picturesque market town of Alcester hosts its annual St Nicholas Night festivities. The community event, held annually to mark the feast day of Saint Nicholas, will feature stalls, live music, street food, and entertainment.
A parade featuring the boy bishop, vintage vehicles and town organisations will be held at 7pm. The event will reach its climax with a fireworks extravaganza at 8.30pm followed by a short service Compline at St Nicholas' parish church at 9pm.
Stalls open at 5.30pm with live music and entertainment from various local groups from 6pm. Youngsters will be able visit Santa in his grotto and the town’s many independent shops will be open late night Christmas shopping.
