Walk in Shakespeare's footsteps through the ancient streets to see the Shakespeare Houses, Royal Shakespeare Theatres, River Avon, 15th century timber-framed buildings, Shakespeare's School and more.

The walking tour includes a visit to Holy Trinity Church to see Shakespeare's grave (small fee payable to the Church on the day and subject to Church opening times).

Hear fascinating stories of fire, flood, plague, medieval cures, old fashioned sayings and history, wrapped up in a little Shakespeare. Discover favourite tea houses, pubs, shops and restaurants. 

Meet by the Swan Fountain on Waterside, near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and opposite the fish & chip shop on the corner of Sheep Street.  No need to book, just turn up, whatever the weather!

Directions

Walks start at the Swan Fountain on Waterside, near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and opposite the fish & chip shop on the corner of Sheep Street.

Swan Fountain is just a few minutes walk from Stratford-upon-Avon Visitor Information Centre.  There are several car parks nearby, with disabled parking and public toilets opposite.

All walks take two hours (approx)

Town Walk: Adults £6, Students & over 65s £5, Children £3, Under 8s go free

Ghost Walk: Adults £7, Children £5

Additional information

Every participant receives a ticket with five discount vouchers. There are no use by dates and can be used to get some fabulous discounts at a range of shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions such as the River Avon Cruise, Butterfly Farm, MAD Museum and 30% off entry to the Shakespeare Houses.
