Dog Friendly Pubs
Pop in for a pint with your faithful companion
Few pleasures in life are as simple or as rewarding than walking or driving to a local pub to enjoy a drink, a meal or a game of darts. But for dog owners who can’t – or don’t like to – leave their beloved pet at home or in the car, it can be tricky to find dog friendly pubs.
Not so in Shakespeare’s England in the corner of Warwickshire, which boasts several pubs and other places to eat and drink where dogs are not just tolerated but positively welcomed.
One such establishment is The Fleece Inn located in a small village just outside Evesham. This quintessential English pub owned by The National Trust is not only a perfect rural retreat serving fabulous food, but dog friendly and family friendly too.
Another dog friendly pub within the local area is The Howard Arms in the idyllic village of Ilmington near Startford-upon-Avon. A large choice of local ales and other drinks are served by friendly staff, so settle yourself in comfy leather seats by a huge log fire with your canine friend at your feet and in summer drink and eat in a beautiful garden with a small stream.
As the official tourist website for the area, we can give you lots of advice on dog friendly pubs. We also list plenty of things to do to work up an appetite or walk it off afterwards.
