For many people, New Year’s Eve is one of the best party nights of the year. If you fancy putting on your glad rags and hitting the dance floor, you’ve got plenty of options here in Shakespeare’s England. Several of these venues offer overnight accommodation, so you don’t even have to worry about driving or taxiing home.
Stratford-upon-Avon is the location for two fabulous events. The Arden Hotel is hosting a New Year’s Eve Gala Party, which includes champagne and canapés on arrival before a gourmet four-course dinner. You can then welcome in 2017 and dance the night away to live music until 1.00am.
Or you might fancy the New Year’s Eve Ball at The Crowne Plaza. Enjoy drinks and canapés in the Terrace Atrium, followed by a sumptuous five-course dinner in the grand ballroom. There’ll be entertainment from a live band followed by a disco until 1.30am.
‘A Night in Motown’ at Ardencote, near Warwick, is the perfect way to see in the New Year. This festive break includes bed & breakfast accommodation, use of the leisure facilities, champagne and canapé reception, three-course gala dinner, live music and a disco.
Posh frocks and masks are called for at the New Year’s Eve Masquerade Party at The Bell – an 18th century coaching inn in the picturesque village of Alderminster. After champagne, canapés, dinner and dancing, the night will end with a spectacular fireworks display at midnight.
For a different kind of dressing up (this year’s theme is Costume Drama) and dancing, head to The Fleece Inn near Evesham for its New Year’s Eve Fancy Dress Ceilidh. As well as entertainment from a local ceilidh band, there’ll also be a delicious hot supper. Children and families are most welcome.
With so much to choose from, you really have no excuse to stay at home in front of the TV on New Year’s Eve…
